Medical Billing Clerical Assistant -

Integrated Physicians Management Services Location:
East Hartford, CT Employment Type:

Full-Time Integrated Physicians Management Services (IPMS), a leading Management Services Organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Billing Clerical Assistant to join our growing team. Role Overview:

As a Medical Billing Clerical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our billing teams by ensuring accurate processing, documentation, and coordination of billing-related tasks. Your work will directly contribute to timely reimbursements, reduced claim denials, and overall client satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

Support the medical billing teams with daily clerical and administrative tasks Cross-train across functions to assist during team absences and high-volume periods Prepare and reconcile deposits received via lockbox, including downloading and verifying electronic EOBs Research and resolve discrepancies in payment postings Scan and transmit charges and deposits to the Data Processing team, ensuring accuracy and completeness Process credit card payments received via correspondence or patient calls Prepare and submit

claims within a 24-hour turnaround time Download, review, and input demographic and patient data into the billing system (Healthpac) Ensure accuracy of patient account creation and required fields Research and update incorrect addresses and returned mail to ensure proper delivery of claims and correspondence Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:
Education:

High School Diploma required

Experience:

1-2 years of clerical experience in a medical or billing office preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Basic understanding of medical billing processes is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Proficiency with computer systems and data entry Ability to work independently and as part of a team Why Work at IPMS?
