Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Junior Client Billing Assistant and become a vital part of our financial operations! In this energetic role, you will support the billing process by managing client accounts, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining seamless communication with clients and internal teams. Duties Process and verify client billing information using various financial software systems, including billing software, QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely collection and payment processing. Perform account reconciliation and analysis to maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Enter data accurately into spreadsheets and accounting systems, utilizing Excel formulas and double entry bookkeeping techniques. Support collections account management by following up on overdue invoices and resolving discrepancies through professional client communication. Assist with journal entries, month-end closing procedures, and financial reporting tasks to ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries via phone or email, demonstrating strong phone etiquette and problem-solving skills. Skills Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar financial systems. Strong understanding of GAAP principles, technical accounting concepts, and corporate accounting practices. Experience with Excel data analysis, including creating formulas, pivot tables, and performing account analysis. Knowledge of accounts receivable management, credit analysis, and collections account procedures. Ability to perform data entry efficiently using 10 key typing skills while maintaining high accuracy. Familiarity with billing processes involving journal entries, debits & credits, and double entry bookkeeping. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for account reconciliation and financial analysis tasks. Effective communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration; professional phone etiquette is essential.
