Job Description

As a Billing Clerk, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents. You are responsible for the accounting and verification of all vehicle sales and assist the department in reconciling monies due.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Processes all new and used vehicle deals; Reviews and verifies Deal Checklist to ensure all items are completed; Verifies that the Buyers Order down payment matches the funds received; Reviews costing sheet to verify the amounts are correct; Calculates and sets up salesman commissions; Processes any remaining payments; Finalize dealership's vehicle sales contracts; Perform month-end review of pre-owned and new car inventory; Calculate and verify vehicle payoffs; Maintain accurate records of all monies received; Preserve integrity of client files and client information; Provide outstanding customer service to employees by answering questions and troubleshooting issues; Responsible for accounting schedules assigned; Must be able to cross train and complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills required 2+ years of billing clerk experience in high-volume environment Computer literate with knowledge in dealership systems (CDK required; ADP/Tekion preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate with the public, sometimes with multiple lenders at a time Ability to collaborate with other dealership personnel Maintain a high level of confidentiality Maintain a high level of professional personal appearance and conduct Must be able to handle demanding customers and situations Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
