Duties Assist in preparing and issuing client invoices using billing software and financial systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft Manage accounts receivable by tracking payments, following up on overdue accounts, and performing collections account management Reconcile client accounts through detailed account analysis and journal entries to ensure accuracy in line with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Enter data accurately into spreadsheets and accounting systems, utilizing Excel formulas and 10 key typing skills for efficiency Support the accounts payable process by verifying vendor invoices and processing payments in compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls Conduct account reconciliation tasks, including debits & credits adjustments and double entry bookkeeping procedures Communicate professionally with clients regarding billing inquiries, payment status, or discrepancies via phone or email Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing reports and performing Excel data analysis for management review Experience Previous experience in accounting or finance roles involving billing, accounts receivable, or collections account management is preferred Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar platforms is highly desirable Strong understanding of GAAP principles and technical accounting concepts including journal entries and account analysis Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (formulas, spreadsheets, data analysis) and Word for documentation purposes Demonstrated ability to perform data entry accurately using 10 key typing skills and attention to detail Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette for client communication Knowledge of SOX compliance standards related to financial controls is a plus Embark on a rewarding career path where your attention to detail makes a real impact!
