The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of dental billing procedures, dental coding, and insurance claims processing. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the billing cycle, ensuring accurate claim submissions, and optimizing revenue recovery. Your expertise in dental claims management and medical records will be essential in providing exceptional support to our dental practice and patients. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment dedicated to delivering quality patient care. Duties Prepare and submit dental insurance claims accurately using billing software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Review patient records, treatment plans, and coding details to ensure compliance with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding standards. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies and resubmission processes. Verify patient insurance coverage and explain benefits to patients clearly, providing excellent customer service throughout the billing process. Maintain detailed and organized medical records, ensuring all documentation aligns with healthcare regulations and billing requirements. Collaborate with dental practitioners and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies promptly. Stay current with changes in healthcare claims management, health insurance policies, and medical coding guidelines to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursements. Generate reports on billing activities, outstanding accounts receivable, and collection efforts for management review. Skills Extensive knowledge of dental coding including coding systems, and DRG classifications. Proficiency in dental billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and Open Dentalapplications for data management and reporting. Strong understanding of Dental care claims management processes and dental insurance policies. Experience in medical collection practices with a focus on maximizing revenue recovery. Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in coding, documentation, and claim submissions. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance providers, and team members. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and billing procedures within a dental or healthcare setting.
