Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Land O Lakes, FL. This role is ideal for an accounting, billing, or administrative professional with prior experience in the residential homebuilding industry and a strong ability to manage accurate billing documentation. The Billing Specialist will play an important role in preparing invoices, verifying billing data, maintaining records, and supporting customer account accuracy. Key Responsibilities
- Calculate costs for services rendered and ensure billing charges are accurate.
- Review and verify billing data, promptly identifying and correcting errors.
- Prepare itemized invoices, billing documents, and applicable discount calculations.
- Perform general bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, recordkeeping, and invoice file maintenance.
- Contact customers to obtain, verify, and update account information as needed.
- Support the accounting and administrative team with related duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits
Pay:
$22 per hour.Job Type:
Temp-to-hire. Required Qualifications and Skills- Prepare accurate invoices and billing documents for services rendered.
- Verify billing data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain organized billing records.
- Support bookkeeping, customer account updates, and administrative billing functions.
- Prior experience working with a residential homebuilder is required.
- 3+ years of billing or administrative experience required.
- 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to correcting billing issues.
- Clear communication skills, including active listening and professional customer interaction.
- Ability to stay focused, work well under pressure, and adapt to service and customer standards. Preferred Qualifications
- Previous office experience is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or administrative billing functions is a plus.
