$19.00-$24.00 per hour (based on experience) Join Our Growing Team! OMS Associates is seeking an experienced Dental & Medical Billing Specialist to join our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional with experience in both dental and medical insurance billing who is passionate about helping patients while maximizing insurance reimbursement. Responsibilities Submit and manage dental and medical insurance claims. Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and authorizations. Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately. Follow up on outstanding, denied, and unpaid claims. Appeal denied claims and resolve insurance discrepancies. Review patient accounts to ensure accurate billing. Work closely with doctors and clinical staff to ensure proper documentation and coding. Communicate professionally with insurance companies and patients regarding claims and balances. Maintain accurate records while complying with HIPAA and insurance guidelines. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of dental billing experience (medical billing experience strongly preferred). Experience with CPT, CDT, and ICD-10 coding . Strong understanding of dental and medical insurance. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office. Preferred Experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or another dental specialty. Knowledge of medical claim appeals and prior authorizations.
