Job Description

The candidate hired for this role will be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $1,500.00. Company Profile National Imaging Specialists is an established independent radiology practice operating out of Carrollwood and Pinellas Park. National Imaging Specialists is a quality-centric, specialty radiology practice offering MRI, CT, and PET-CT imaging services, and we have proudly served our surrounding communities for the past 20 years. We serve a diverse array of clients including physician offices, research clinics, and personal injury firms. As a growing practice, National Imaging Specialists is looking for an energetic and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with various insurance companies and patients to get claims processed and paid Prepare and submit clean claims on a consistent basis either electronically or by paper Answer patient questions related to the billing process and account balances Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims Conduct weekly accounts receivable audits to follow up on past-due accounts Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding Knowledge of medical insurance billing (radiology medical insurance billing experience preferred) Strong organizational skills Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines Proficient with computers This role is not eligible for remote work.
