Responsibilities include:

Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits accurately Obtain detailed breakdowns of benefits Submit dental claims with proper documentation, X-rays, narratives, and attachments Follow up on outstanding and unpaid insurance claims Review EOBs and insurance payments for accuracy Post insurance payments and adjustments correctly Work aging reports and follow up on claims until payment or resolution Handle denied claims, corrections, resubmissions, and appeals Submit and follow up on pre-authorizations/predeterminations Contact insurance companies regarding claim status and payment issues Maintain accurate patient insurance information in the system

Requirements:

Previous dental insurance/billing experience required Strong knowledge of dental claims, EOBs, CDT codes, PPO plans, and insurance verification Experience with Dentrix preferred Organized, detail-oriented, and consistent with follow-ups Comfortable communicating directly with insurance companies We are looking for someone who understands that submitting a claim is only the beginning claims must be followed through until they are properly processed and paid.
