Medicaid & Special Projects Billing Assistant Drug Abuse Treatment Association (DATA, Inc.)
Location:
Port St. Lucie, FL |
Schedule:
Full-Time, Mon-Fri (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) About the Role Drug Abuse Treatment Association (DATA, Inc.) is seeking a detail-oriented Medicaid & Special Projects Billing Assistant in Port St. Lucie. You will manage revenue cycle processes, ensure accurate Medicaid claims, and oversee specialized billing and data entry to keep our life-saving programs funded.
Responsibilities Medicaid Revenue Cycle:
Verify eligibility, secure authorizations, submit claims, review remittance statements, and resolve denied or reduced claims.
MST & Special Billing:
Process MST timesheets in KIS, run weekly insurance verifications via the Florida Medicaid portal (Sunshine/CMS plans), track MST clients, and handle admissions/discharges.
Data Management:
Oversee prevention data entry across CPG, The Hub, and KIS, and complete monthly CPG submissions to Carisk.
Team Collaboration:
Represent the agency on external committees and support operational needs as assigned.
Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Hands-on Medicaid billing experience in behavioral health, including working with Medicaid/MMA providers.
Knowledge:
Understanding of clearinghouses, credentialing, and claims appeals.
