Job Summary A Medical Billing Specialist opportunity is available in Sarasota, FL for an experienced billing professional with a strong background in accounts receivable, accounts payable, insurance verification, payment posting, and payer follow-up. The Medical Billing Specialist will support billing operations, help resolve payment and insurance-related questions, and contribute to timely cash flow and account accuracy. Key Responsibilities Verify insurance coverage and payer information to support accurate billing and claims processing. Post payments, cash receipts, and adjustments accurately in billing or accounting systems. Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including account review and reconciliation. Respond to phone inquiries from patients, payers, or internal team members regarding billing and payment questions. Research and help resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and outstanding account balances. Maintain organized records and support accurate documentation for billing, payment, and account activity.

Compensation and Benefits Pay range:

$20 to $22 per hour.
