Billing Specialist

Position Summary :

As a Billing Specialist for Origins Spine and Joint Physicians, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes for our rapidly expanding healthcare organization. This position involves managing billing operations, maintaining patient accounts, and working collaboratively with team members to ensure timely and precise claims submissions. We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive individual passionate about providing excellent service in the healthcare field. New grads are encouraged to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance providers. Review and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and rejections in a timely manner. Maintain detailed patient account records and ensure compliance with billing policies and regulations. Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to verify correct coding and documentation for claims. Assist patients with billing inquiries, providing clear explanations of charges and payment options. Stay updated on insurance guidelines, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to enhance billing efficiency.

Qualifications:

Experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management, preferably in pain management. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10 coding, and insurance processes. Experience posting charges and working denials. Workers Comp experience preferred. Injection coding experience. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in credentialing providers with insurance companies (preferred but not required). Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding patient service.
