The Collections Representative is responsible for managing customer accounts to ensure timely payments and maintain positive customer relationships. This role involves consistent communication with customers regarding past due accounts, processing payments, and supporting daily dealership operations. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and able to balance firm collections practices with excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Contact customers regarding past due accounts via phone and follow-up communication Answer incoming calls and assist customers with account questions and payment inquiries Process payments accurately and efficiently (cash, card, or other accepted methods) Monitor and follow up on inactive or lapsed insurance policies Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records File and organize paperwork, contracts, and customer folders Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times Follow company policies and procedures related to collections and compliance Required Skills & Qualifications Basic math and cash-handling skills Strong phone etiquette and communication skills Excellent customer service abilities Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic Ability to work effectively in a team environment Organized with attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and respectfully
