Job Description
We are looking for an LTL Billing Specialist who is highly motivated, detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and a strong communicator. This role will be based in our Lake Zurich office. A fast-paced, competitive, and team-oriented atmosphere. Responsibilities Collect and enter freight bills from LTL and truckload carriers. Issue invoices to customers on a weekly basis. Assist with document management, including printing/filing/mailing. Provide customer service support. Send weekly statements to past due accounts. Answer customer/vendor inquiries via phone and email. Research and investigate freight bills that do not honor the quoted rate. Enter bill of lading data for customers. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or related finance/accounting roles, with at least 1+ years of specific LTL (Less-than-Truckload) experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail with the ability to review financial documents, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues independently. Proficiency in accounting systems, TMS platforms, and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. Must be able to see, type, lift 10 pounds, sit for long periods of time looking at a computer. Must have excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication (written and verbal) skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exemplary problem-solving skills.
