Rheumatology of Central Indiana (ROCI) is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Billing Specialist to join our administrative team in Muncie, IN. In this in-office role you will serve as a primary backup for Anthem insurance claims. Duties:

Under the supervision of the billing supervisor responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Working with insurance companies to resolve payment discrepancies May handle tasks related to insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient communication regarding billing issues Monitoring account balances Requesting and verifying prior authorization information Educating patients on billing concerns Additional job duties may be assigned as needed

Responsibilities:

Accurately assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes based on clinical documentation Ensure compliance with current payer-specific requirements Post insurance and patient payments accurately and timely Monitor and manage accounts receivable and support the revenue cycle Investigate and resolve claim denials or rejections Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards

Preferred Minimum Experience:
