Job Description

MedScript LTC Pharmacy is looking for a Billing Census Specialist to join our growing team! This person will compile, process, maintain and report census and billing records in a timely manner. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm. Please apply to join our team today!
Primary Duties:
Understand batch management, posting batches, new admissions/readmits and adjudication Comply with operational timelines and policies and procedures Cooperate with other departments regarding problem solving both internal and external Address customer concerns and report resolution Courteous and professional communication with internal staff and customers Able to manage time sensitive processes Input and manage insurance information related to Medicare Part D, Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, Commercial Plans and State Medicaid Complete all facility census changes timely and accurately Process monthly facility and private pay statements Ability to work overtime during month end closing if needed Other duties as assigned
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Tech In-Training License Preferred Experience:
Two years working in pharmacy long term care setting Knowledgeable in all major insurance carrier reimbursement guidelines Experience with EMAR software General understanding of
Excel and Microsoft Programs Work Traits:
Demonstrates proficiency in keyboarding /computer use Intimate knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and guidelines Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively in an independent environment Provide quality customer service by being available for scheduled shifts. Includes arriving promptly and completing shifts as needed to meet demands of the department Excellent communication and organizational skills by practicing active listening and seeking to understand others Detail oriented Works to deliver an expected volume of work, seeks operating efficiencies without sacrificing quality Provides constructive feedback and is receptive to feedback from others Upholds professional and ethical standards.
