Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting collection activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and maintain efficient billing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and manage accurate billing statements for clients and customers.
- Oversee collection processes and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of the billing system to streamline operations.
- Verify financial data and reconcile discrepancies in billing records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all billing functions.
- Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate action.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date billing documentation.
- Provide support for computerized billing processes and system updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing workflows and implement solutions. Requirements
- Proven experience in billing functions and related processes.
- Familiarity with billing systems and computerized billing software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Knowledge of billing collection procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in resolving billing discrepancies and reconciling accounts.
- Understanding of compliance standards and regulations in billing.
