Job Description

SWAT is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our accounting team. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of billing operations. Your role will ensure accuracy and efficiency in billing processes, monitoring accounts, and addressing any discrepancies to secure revenue. Job Duties Prepare and issue invoices to customers based on established schedules and contracts. Record and process customer payments, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Monitor accounts to ensure timely payment and identify overdue accounts. Verify, classify, compute, and record billing data accurately. Maintain and update billing system records, including adjustments for unpaid invoices. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes. Communicate with clients to address billing inquiries and concerns. Reconcile billing records with the general ledger to ensure accuracy. Requirements Proven working experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role. Strong understanding of billing and collection processes. Ability to calculate, post, and manage billing figures accurately. Proficient data entry skills. Experience with spreadsheets and billing/accounting software. Proficiency in MS Office applications. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience Billing experience required. TRACK experience is a plus. Schedule Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
