Key Responsibilities Billing & Claims:

Prepare and submit medical claims and invoices to commercial insurance companies, Medicaid, Medicare, and directly to patients for services provided.

Payment Processing:

Post Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and process payments for various account types.

Account Management:

Monitor and collect delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements and following up on outstanding balances.

Insurance Knowledge:

Stay informed about the billing requirements for different types of third-party payers, including government programs.

Required Skills & Qualities Technical Proficiency:

Strong ability to use and learn medical billing software and other computer programs.

Organization:

Must be highly organized to manage multiple accounts and tasks efficiently.

Independence:

Ability to work independently, taking initiative to address and resolve billing-related issues.
