Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Brockton, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate billing, coding, and claims processing for medical services. Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical claims accurately and promptly to ensure timely reimbursements.
• Review and verify patient information and medical records for billing purposes.
• Utilize medical coding systems to assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or denied claims with insurance providers.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure billing compliance and accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and billing practices.
• Handle medical collections, ensuring outstanding balances are appropriately managed.
• Use systems such as ePACES to facilitate claims processing and eligibility checks.
• Generate and analyze billing reports to monitor financial performance.
• Communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies to address billing inquiries. Requirements
• Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare environment.
• Proficiency in medical coding systems and claim submission processes.
• Familiarity with medical collections and resolving claim discrepancies.
• Knowledge of insurance policies, billing regulations, and compliance standards.
• Skilled in using ePACES and other medical billing software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive information.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
