Billing Specialist - $22-$24/hr Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:15 AM-4:30 PM | 37.5 Hours/Week A well-established company is looking for a Billing Specialist to join their team! This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in billing, accounts receivable, payment processing, insurance, banking, or financial customer service. You do not need to come directly from an insurance background. If you have strong experience processing payments, working with customer accounts, resolving billing issues, and handling financial information, we'd like to hear from you! What You'll Do Process and apply daily customer payments, including checks and electronic payments Review payment information for accuracy Enter payments and make account adjustments Process refunds, returned payments, and payment requests Set up and maintain automated payment plans Research and resolve billing discrepancies Respond to customer billing questions by phone and email Provide billing support to the Customer Service team Review system errors and make corrections Maintain confidential customer and financial information Assist with improving billing processes and department efficiency What We're Looking For Previous billing and customer service experience required Experience with accounts receivable, payment processing, banking, insurance, or financial transactions Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good data entry and computer skills Microsoft Office experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle confidential financial information Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Insurance billing or Property & Casualty experience is a plus, but not required. Education An Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required with relevant experience.
