This takes hard work and innovation, and we need more like-minded people on our team. About the Role We're looking for an analytical individual to join our team as Billing Business Analyst. In this role, you will transform billing data into actionable insights that improve billing accuracy, client experience, operational efficiency, and proactive issue management. You will develop and use dashboards, reports, queries, and trend analysis to identify billing variances, recurring client issues, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement. You will partner with Billing Client Experience Partners, Billing Operations, Finance, IT/Data teams, external operations partners, Client Success, and other cross-functional stakeholders to turn data into recommendations, support proactive client communication, and improve the overall billing experience. What You'll Do Analyze billing data and generate actionable insights. Build, maintain, and use billing dashboards, reports, queries, and analytical tools to monitor client billing activity. Analyze billing trends, variances, exceptions, disputes, adjustments, and recurring client inquiries to identify material billing changes, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities. Translate complex billing data into clear business insights, summaries, and recommendations that support client-facing communication and operational decision-making. Support proactive billing reviews for strategic, complex, or high-volume clients by identifying unusual billing activity, potential client concerns, and emerging risk indicators. Partner with Billing Client Experience Partners to prepare client-ready insights, variance explanations, and supporting analysis. Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring disputes, billing errors, escalations, and service issues. Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, data quality issues, and handoff failures that contribute to billing friction. Develop and maintain reporting that measures Billing Client Services performance, client experience, and operational effectiveness. Prepare executive-ready summaries, recurring reporting, and performance updates for leadership and stakeholders. Collaborate with Billing Client Experience Partners, IT/Data, Billing Operations, Finance, external operations partners, Client Success, Commercial, and other operational teams to resolve data and process issues. Identify recurring manual analysis, customized reporting, and repetitive billing review activities that may be candidates for automation or standardization. Basic Qualifications Experience in business analysis, data analysis, billing operations, finance operations, client service operations, or a related field. Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and explain business impacts. Experience working with reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, databases, operational systems, or similar tools. Strong Excel skills, including the ability to organize, analyze, and summarize large data sets. Ability to translate business questions into data requirements and actionable insights. Demonstrated problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
