Job Description
Job Summary
STi is looking for a contract specialist to join our team in our Rockville, Maryland office. This person will work closely with our Contract Manager in carrying out the duties described below. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Contract Management with a minor or significant course work in Accounting. We are looking for candidates with 2-5 years of experience. Responsibilities
In response to requests from the Project Managers, creates subcontract agreements and modifications
Reviews subcontractor invoices to ensure that they comply with the contract requirements and limits
Tracks subcontract costs against ceilings and works with the Project Managers to identify and correct for issues in a timely fashion
Enters new Contracts, Task Orders, and Jobs in the Accounting/ERP system - WAWF, Wide Area Workflow
Proposal support, including creation of cost/price models
Tracks compliance for contract reporting requirements for the Contracts Manager, may include filing of reports
Assists in the production of contract progress reports
Other duties as assigned by the
Contracts Manager Requirements:
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Knowledge of accounting principles
Excellent written and verbal communications
Ability to handle information confidentially
Familiarity with accounting software
Requirements
Timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll processing of hourly and salaried employees
Prepare travel invoices Process travel vouchers
Work with Wide Area Workflow (WAWF)
Process and mail weekly vendor payments
Manage employee files, including I-9 records
Oversees various excel spreadsheet updates
Ability to prioritize and work within deadlines
Various filing tasks
Other duties as assigned
Additional Requirements:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Must have data entry experience
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Compensation:
$40,000 to $50,000 Annually
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Knowledge of Government FARs and JTR and various DCAA requirements
Comfortable in fast-paced environments
Strong team player with the flexibility to cross-train as necessary
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
