Job Description
Description We are looking for a dependable Billing Specialist to provide short-term support to a busy billing team in Ramsey, Minnesota. This Contract position is expected to last approximately 3 months and is ideal for someone who enjoys organized, detail-focused work in a community-oriented service environment. The role will assist with day-to-day billing and administrative activities, helping the department stay on track during a period of staffing changes and team ramp-up.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily billing operations by completing routine clerical and administrative tasks that keep the department organized and efficient.
- Distribute incoming mail and deliver materials throughout the facility to ensure timely internal communication.
- Review recurring reports, verify information across sources, and flag inconsistencies for follow-up.
- Update and maintain existing spreadsheets, using established formulas to confirm totals and reconcile data.
- Provide basic assistance within billing-related systems and online tools used by the department.
- Help compare numerical data from multiple reports to identify mismatches and support accurate recordkeeping.
- Assist the team with straightforward billing activities and general office support as departmental needs change.
- Contribute coverage for essential tasks while newer team members continue training and transition into their roles. Requirements
- Experience supporting billing, invoicing, or other office administration functions in a detail-focused setting.
- Comfort working in Excel, including updating spreadsheets that contain pre-built formulas.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to compare reports and spot data discrepancies accurately.
- Ability to manage repetitive, process-driven work while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Willingness to handle both desk-based responsibilities and light administrative duties such as internal mail distribution.
- Dependable work habits and the ability to adapt within a smaller, team-oriented organization.
- Familiarity with computerized billing systems or related business software.
- Availability to commit to an approximately 3-month Contract assignment during standard Monday through Friday daytime hours.
