Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Specialist to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will create and submit billing invoicing, ensure accurate record-keeping, maintain and audit client files, and support our commitment to transparency and accountability. Your experience in online software and financial concepts will help us maintain precise data records, contributing to the overall health of our organization. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of two years' experience in billing, data entry, or closely related field Responsibilities Process and verify billing transactions. Assist accounts receivable by generating invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling payments received Handle data entry tasks with precision Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information in compliance with organizational policies and GAAP standards Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies Skills Strong understanding of accounting principles such as GAAP and governmental accounting standards Experience with financial software Knowledge of compliance requirements for internal controls and audit readiness Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for handling multiple tasks accurately Effective communication skills for customer service interactions and cross-departmental collaboration Join Lafayette House as a Billing Specialist to play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity while supporting our mission of empowering those we serve.
