Job Description
What You Will Be Doing
- Review Daily Work Reports (DWRs) for accuracy, completeness, and billable scope under the guidance of the Billing Manager
- Prepare and submit customer invoices in accordance with established contract terms, rate sheets, and billing procedures
- Verify invoices against assigned Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring correct job numbers, cost codes, and billing limits
- Track assigned unbilled work and escalate missing information or delays to the Billing Manager
- Communicate with field supervisors and project teams to resolve billing questions or missing backup
- Maintain organized and complete billing documentation to support invoice approval and audit requirements Who We Are Looking For
- An organized and detail-oriented individual with experience or the ability to quickly learn railroad billing portals and customer-specific invoicing systems
- One year or more experience in the railroad or construction industry preferred, but not required
- Comfort reviewing Daily Work Reports (DWRs) and supporting accurate labor, equipment, and expense billing
- A dependable team player who can manage multiple assigned jobs while meeting billing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow up with field personnel, project teams, and internal departments
- Ability to work well under direction and escalate questions or discrepancies as needed
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
