DENTAL BILLING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
!! Klooster Family Dentistry is a privately owned, dentist-led general dental practice founded and operated by Dr. Klooster. We are a growing, high-volume practice with a strong team culture, high standards, and a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our patients. We are looking for an experienced Dental Billing Coordinator who understands the financial side of a busy general dental practice and takes ownership of keeping accounts accurate, payments posted correctly, and patient balances resolved. We need someone who is highly detail-oriented and doesn't simply complete a task and move on. We want someone who notices when something doesn't look right, investigates it, and takes ownership of getting it resolved. What You'll Own Payment Posting & Account Accuracy Accurately post insurance payments, adjustments, and patient personal check payments Review and reconcile EOBs Monitor account activity and follow up on discrepancies Identify and correct account inconsistencies quickly Recognize changes in insurance reimbursement or payment patterns and bring them to leadership's attention Help maintain accurate, clean patient accounts and low outstanding balances Dental Billing & Insurance Knowledge You should have a strong working knowledge of: Dental insurance and benefits CDT coding and proper claim submission EOBs and expected reimbursement Frequencies, limitations, deductibles, maximums, and exclusions Claim denials, rejections, appeals, and reconsiderations Coordination of benefits Insurance aging and AR management Federal insurance claim processes as applicable Patient Balances & Communication You will work directly with patients and our Office Managers to resolve outstanding balances. Explain balances, EOBs, and out-of-pocket responsibility clearly Send text-to-pay links and EOBs when appropriate Keep patients up to date on what is happening with their account and advise them when they need to contact their insurance Help patients understand their insurance benefits and financial responsibility Collect outstanding balances while remaining professional, empathetic, and helpful We want patients to feel that we are advocating for them, even when we're having a conversation about money. Who Will Thrive Here You may be a great fit if you: Have previous experience with dental billing, payment posting, insurance, and AR Understand the financial workflow of a busy general dental practice Are extremely detail-oriented and organized Enjoy investigating discrepancies and figuring out why something isn't adding up Understand dental EOBs and insurance reimbursement Are comfortable having professional conversations with patients about money Notice patterns and potential problems before someone points them out Take ownership rather than waiting to be given the next task Communicate proactively with leadership What Success Looks Like Payments are posted accurately and accounts remain balanced EOBs and account discrepancies are identified and resolved quickly Aging AR remains as low as possible Underpayments and reimbursement changes are identified Patient balances are proactively addressed Patients receive clear, professional communication about their accounts Billing issues are identified and corrected before they become larger problemsSchedule & Work-Life Balance Monday-Wednesday:
