Full Job Description Description:
The Billing and Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day billing of all surgeries, ensuring that all claims go out accurate and for following-up on any claims that are paid incorrectly or denied, in a timely manner
Requirements:
Ensures that diagnosis codes and CPT codes are entered into the system accurately to post the charges daily. Verifies that authorization has been obtained, if applicable, before submitting the claims. Submits claims daily. Checks clearinghouse after claim submission out of computer system to make sure no corrections are necessary/fix issues that the clearinghouse catches. Sends out patient statements on monthly basis. Assists with daily payment posting. Ensures prompt follow-up on any claims that were paid incorrectly or denied. Answers patient's questions regarding billing issues.
