Company Overview Radiation Safety & Control Services (RSCS) is a dedicated provider specializing in radiation safety, measurement applications, and decommissioning services for nuclear, medical, industrial, and governmental facilities. Since 1989, our team of experts has delivered comprehensive health physics consulting, training, instrument calibration, emergency planning, and radiological characterization to ensure safety and compliance across diverse sectors. Job Overview The Temporary Billing Analyst supports the Finance team by ensuring customer invoices are prepared accurately, issued on schedule, and supported by complete documentation. This role reviews billing data, resolves discrepancies, responds to billing inquiries, and assists with reconciliations and period-end activities. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and distribute accurate customer invoices in accordance with contracts, pricing terms, billing schedules, and internal procedures. Validate billing inputs and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization. Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, short payments, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Process credit memos, rebills, adjustments, and other billing transactions with appropriate approval. Reconcile billing records to customer accounts, accounts receivable balances, and related financial reports; investigate variances. Maintain accurate billing records, customer account information, and audit-ready documentation. Monitor billing deadlines, aging information, and unresolved items; escalate delays as appropriate. Collaborate with Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Sales, Operations, and customer-facing teams to clarify billing requirements and resolve issues. Follow established internal controls, confidentiality requirements, and applicable accounting policies. Identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy, turnaround time, documentation, and workflow efficiency. Provide temporary coverage for routine billing activities and assist with special projects or backlog reduction as assigned. Competencies High attention to detail Produce accurate work, identifies inconsistencies, and verifies information before processing. Review financial data, traces variances to their source, and applies sound judgment to resolve issues. Prioritize competing assignments, maintains orderly records, and consistently meets deadlines. Take ownership of assigned billing activities and follows issues through to resolution. Explain billing matters clearly and professionally to internal partners and customers. Build effective working relationships across Finance and operational teams to achieve timely outcomes. Learn new processes quickly and remains effective as priorities, volumes, or assignments change. Respond promptly, courteously, and accurately while balancing service with financial controls. Investigate discrepancies methodically, evaluate alternatives, and recommend practical solutions. Handle sensitive information responsibly and adheres to company policies and controls. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using an ERP, accounting, or billing system. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or vocational school training preferred. Must pass required background checks and other pre-employment screening requirements, as applicable.
