Responsibilities Review and verify patient dental treatment plans, ensuring clarity and completeness for smooth processing. Accurately assign and utilize dental procedure codes to facilitate billing and insurance claims. Manage insurance submissions by preparing detailed documentation, submitting claims electronically through Dentrix Ascend and following up on outstanding payments. Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve claim denials or discrepancies, advocating for timely reimbursements. Maintain comprehensive medical records, including treatment notes, billing information, and coding details, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Collaborate with dental staff to coordinate treatment schedules and insurance approvals, providing clear guidance to patients regarding coverage options. Experience Proven experience in dental office administration, with a focus on insurance coordination or billing preferred. Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend used in dental practices for documentation and billing purposes. Demonstrated ability to interpret dental terminology accurately and apply it effectively within records and coding procedures. Experience handling collections processes to support practice revenue cycle management. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing dental records and billing documentation. Prior exposure to dental office workflows involving insurance claims processing, patient communication, and record keeping is highly desirable.
