Job Description
The Social Spectrum Inc. is hiring self-motivated individuals who are eager to build leadership skills and make a lasting impact in the lives of children with autism. We are a supportive, growth-focused ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy provider offering in-home, community-based, and center-based services to children and young adults ages 18 months to 21 years. Our mission is to provide high-quality, evidence-based treatment that promotes independence, meaningful progress, and positive outcomes for every client. Headquartered in Morganville, NJ, we serve families across Monmouth County, Middlesex County, and throughout New Jersey. We are seeking an organized and compassionate Insurance Representative & Scheduling Coordinator to support our growing team. This blended role is important in helping families access care and ensuring smooth daily operations for our staff and clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in insurance, scheduling, or healthcare coordination; particularly within ABA or special needs services. While the primary focus of this position is administrative, the ideal candidate will also be flexible and willing to step into a direct ABA session with a client when needed, ensuring continuity of care and support for our team.
Responsibilities:
Insurance Duties:
Verify ABA service benefits through Medicaid and private insurance Obtain and manage prior authorizations Submit claims and follow up on denials or delays Maintain organized insurance documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA Serve as a liaison between the company and insurance providersScheduling Duties:
Coordinate therapy schedules for clients and staff across all service locations (in-center, in-home, community-based) Monitor and adjust schedules for client attendance and staff availability Communicate scheduling updates and conflicts efficiently Ensure treatment consistency by aligning schedules with authorized hoursClient Coordination & Support:
Serve as a key point of contact for families Help navigate the ABA process, insurance coverage, and community resources Collaborate with BCBAs, RBTs, and administrative team to support optimal careAdministrative:
Track client authorizations, session logs, and documentation Ensure accurate reporting and timely data entry Participate in team meetings and provide input on operational improvements Assist with operational duties such as end-of-day tasks, sanitizing, etc.Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred) At least 1 year of experience in healthcare coordination, customer service, or insurance billing Experience working with children, ideally with disabilities or in an ABA setting (preferred) Experience working in an office administration position (e.g., scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, checking utilization hours) Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills Valid driver's license or reliable transportation Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Physical ablility to meet job demands (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs, extended periods of sitting/standing)What We Offer:
