- Description
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for entering and balancing client payments received daily, working error reports, reviewing incoming electronic claim files for rejections, and performing related duties as outlined below.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and balance daily client payments to ensure cash received is accurate.
- Manually enter payments from EOBs for groups that do not utilize the 835 file process.
- Update and balance payment information for groups using invoice billing.
- Once daily cash is balanced, generate and send a confirmation file to the client reflecting the balanced totals.
- Review and resolve error reports by entering payment and denial information that did not successfully load during processing.
- Respond to client emails regarding requested updates or corrections to billing information.
- Review outbound Clearinghouse destination files to determine whether returned rejections should have resulted in claim creation.
- Review inbound Error Logs to ensure accurate claim loading and billing.
- Run and quality-assure Positive Pay files after each check run, then submit them to the client.
- Process refunds to carriers for claim overpayments.
- Update CPT and bundled code descriptions within the RBRVS system.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required.
