Job Description

Job Overview A privately owned East End business is seeking an experienced, highly organized Billing Associate to manage client billing, receivables and related bookkeeping functions. This is a hands-on position for someone who is accurate, dependable and comfortable taking ownership of the receivables process from invoicing through collection. Responsibilities Prepare and send client invoices Post and track incoming payments Monitor outstanding receivables and aging Follow up professionally on unpaid invoices Research payment and account discrepancies Maintain accurate customer/account records Track deposits, retainers and reimbursable expenses Assist with project-related billing Prepare simple AR and billing reports Coordinate with owners and outside accounting support Maintain organized digital financial records Assist with other light bookkeeping/accounting tasks as needed Qualifications Prior Accounts Receivable / bookkeeping experience QuickBooks Online experience strongly preferred Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent attention to detail Comfortable communicating directly with customers regarding invoices and outstanding balances Strong follow-through — notices unresolved items and follows them through to completion Able to work independently and maintain confidentiality Dependable and interested in a stable, long-term position Schedule 20-30 hours per week Primarily in person in Sagaponack Year-round position Regular, consistent weekly schedule Compensation $35-$45/hour , depending on experience. We are a small, privately owned business and are looking for someone who values accuracy, discretion, consistency and becoming a trusted long-term member of the team.
Pay:
$25.64 - $30.88 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
