Overview Join our dynamic team as a Junior Billing Clerk—an entry-level role designed to kickstart your career in accounting and finance! This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in billing, data entry, and financial systems. No prior experience is required; we value enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. As a vital part of our finance department, you'll support accurate billing processes, enhance client communication, and gain hands-on experience with leading accounting software and financial concepts. Responsibilities Assist with data entry and account reconciliation to ensure accurate billing and receivables management Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using billing software and financial systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms Help prepare journal entries and perform double-entry bookkeeping tasks following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards Manage collections accounts by monitoring overdue payments and communicating with clients professionally via phone or email Maintain spreadsheets and utilize Excel formulas for data analysis and report generation Support the review of financial concepts such as debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation Contribute to client communication efforts by providing excellent customer service and addressing billing inquiries promptly Experience No prior accounting or finance experience necessary; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (including formulas) and Word Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft is a plus but not required—training will be provided Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry skills (including 10-key typing) Good phone etiquette and customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members Basic understanding of financial concepts like credits & debits, journal entries, and account analysis is advantageous Ability to perform math accurately and efficiently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Embark on your professional journey with us—where growth is encouraged, skills are developed, and your contributions truly matter!
Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 42.0 per week
