Description Patient Account Representative Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to support our Billing team with account verification, data processing, and patient information management. This individual will play a key role in ensuring patient account records are accurate, complete, and up to date by reviewing account information, researching missing details, communicating with patients, and updating records within internal systems. Key Responsibilities Review and verify patient account information for accuracy and completeness. Process new information and updates into patient account systems. Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively to track, organize, and analyze account data. Research and obtain missing patient information using available resources and internal systems. Contact patients by phone to gather information needed to maintain accurate account records. Review paper reports and documentation and accurately enter updates into electronic systems. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all applicable privacy and security requirements. Collaborate with billing and operational teams to resolve account discrepancies. Ensure timely and accurate processing of account updates and documentation. Perform additional administrative and data-entry tasks as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within healthcare, patient accounts, medical billing, or revenue cycle environments. Experience handling sensitive or confidential information. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or patient account systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferably a 2 or 4 year degree Retail or customer service experience Experience with Excel Healthcare Background Associates Degree Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
