Accounts Receivable Analyst

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Analyst to manage and process incoming employer and employee fund contributions. You will verify financial data, balance receipts, ensure all payments are accurately posted to participant accounts and analyze and investigate discrepancies. The ideal candidate has advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, excellent data entry skills, strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
    Data Entry & Analysis:
    Input payment and participant details into the Fund's database both manually and through data files. Use intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel to analyze data and identify discrepancies.
      Reconciliation:
      Match payments against submitted contribution employer remittance reports.
        Dispute Resolution:
        Identify, research, and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, or unapplied cash issues by communicating with internal teams or contributing employers.
          Compliance & Security:
          Maintain strict confidentiality and follow internal controls to protect sensitive financial data.
            Other Requirements:
            Any future tasks needed to support the staff, membership and operations of the Fund Preferred skills and experience:
            • Experience in one of accounts receivable, cash application or high-volume data entry
            • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
            • Strong willingness to continuously learn, adapt, and develop subject matter expertise within the department
            • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a commitment to accuracy and quality
            • Excellent organizational, mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
            • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, including intermediate-level use of formulas, functions, sorting, filtering, and data analysis
            • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
            Pay:
            $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
