In this role, you will be responsible on a daily basis to work the accounts receivable for insurance denials, obtain prior authorizations, do appeals if necessary, answer billing questions from patients. as well as other billing tasks. Your expertise in medical coding, healthcare claims management, and customer service will be vital in maintaining smooth financial operations and delivering exceptional support to patients and providers alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving practice where accuracy, efficiency, and excellent communication are key. Salary based on experience. Duties Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collections processes to maximize reimbursements Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify billing discrepancies or documentation issues Maintain comprehensive records of all billing activities, adjustments, and communications Stay updated on health insurance policies, healthcare claims management procedures, and changes in medical coding standards Requirements Proven experience in medical billing or healthcare office environments with familiarity in medical terminology and records management Strong knowledge of health insurance processes, including claim submission, adjudication, and appeals Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications along with experience using billing software, EMR/EHR systems for data entry and reporting Understanding of medical coding principles such as CPT coding, ICD-10 coding systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies Ability to interpret complex medical records accurately and ensure proper coding compliance Attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims efficiently Join our team as an Insurance Billing Specialist if you're passionate about making a positive impact through your expertise. Pay:
