Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and certified - detail oriented Medical Billing & Coding Specialist with a a background in mental health billing (but not required). This role is responsible for managing the full billing cycle, ensuring compliance, and optimizing reimbursement. This is an in-office position working closely with our administrative and clinical team. Key Responsibilities Manage full cycle billing for mental health services (claims submission, follow up, and payment posting) Work with Medicaid/OHP, commercial insurance, and authorizations Identify and resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies Ensure accurate CPT, ICD-10, and modifier usage Maintain compliance with payer and regulatory requirements Communicate with providers regarding documentation and billing needs Support credentialing and payer setup as needed Qualifications Certified Medical Billing/Coding (CPC, CCS, CBCS, or equivalent) Required 2-5+ years of billing experience (mental/behavioral health strongly preferred) Strong knowledge of insurance processes, authorizations, and denials Experience with EHR systems (Valant or similar is a plus) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an office setting What We Offer Stable, in-office team environment Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding agency Supportive leadership and collaborative culture To Apply Please submit your resume to bverkempinck@ipcounselinc.com and a brief summary of your experience in medical billing and coding.
