Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for the timely and accurate billing and collections for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance carriers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance policies. Performs edit review for the processing of claims and follows up on denials and status checks, ensuring timely collection and maximum reimbursement of these accounts. Communicates problems and concerns that may lead to inaccurate or untimely completion of reimbursement processing. Maintains accurate and complete records concerning billing activity. Perform new admissions insurance verifications. Check and cash handling of deposits.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalence.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
Preferred experience in a LTC environment. Ability to understand Medicare reimbursement. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (a team player). Excellent communication and customer relations skills. Extensive computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word & Excel). Ability to multitask. Detail Oriented. Excellent benefit package and hours of 8-4 Monday-Friday.
