Job Description
Westmoreland Manor is seeking a qualified applicant for a Fiscal Assistant position in the Business Office.
Pay Rate:
$20.10 per hourSchedule:
Monday-Friday, generally 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with some flexibility required to accommodate resident and family needs, including occasional hours after 4:00 p.m. Position Summary The Fiscal Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records related to resident accounts, including billing, payments, insurance claims, and account reconciliation. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and knowledge of healthcare insurance and long-term care reimbursement processes. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 3 years of experience in healthcare insurance, accounts receivable, collections, resident accounting, and bank reconciliations. Working knowledge of Medicaid guidelines and the Medicaid application process. At least 3 years of experience investigating underpaid and overpaid claims, processing appeals, interpreting coverage, and verifying copayments and coinsurance. Working knowledge of Medicare Part A and Part B, Medicaid, Managed Care, HMOs/PPOs, patient billing, and applicable regulations in a long-term care setting. Working knowledge of Managed Care systems and requirements applicable to long-term care facilities. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, insurance companies, and other outside agencies. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Previous experience with long-term care software, particularly PointClickCare. Experience with Availity is a plus.
