Job Statement This position exists under direct supervision of the Collections manager to provide financial support services to the Probation office and to ensure the efficient collection of money owed to the Department. III. Job Duties/Responsibilities 1. Process collection of fines and costs. 2. Receive payments and issue receipts. 3. Operate computer and facsimile machine. 4. Reconcile financial accounts at the end of the month. 5. Able to react productively to change and handle other essential duties as assigned. IV. Job Specifications A. Education

  • Associates degree in Accounting or equal experience. Computer training required. B. Experience
  • Accounting experience preferred.

C. General Requirements Good working knowledge of accounting procedures. Good knowledge of business arithmetic and English grammar. Ability to speak and write English effectively. Ability to type from clear copy or rough draft at a reasonable rate of speed. Ability to understand and follow simple oral and/or written instructions. Ability to communicate in an appropriate manner and get along well with others. Ability to make minor decisions using good judgment and acting in accordance with established policies or regulations.
