Job Description
General:
The primary responsibility of the Third Party Billing Posting Clerk is to post EOB payments in computer system to assure accurate payment and discover over or under payments and follow up on unpaid scripts to obtain payment.Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Post Medicaid and third party payments in billing systems. 2. Investigate payment variances for posting errors. 3. Correct any posting errors. 4. Reconcile payments posted in billing systems to EOB totals. 5. Document under payments and over payments for follow up. 6. Communicates discrepancies in payments to Accounts Receivable Administrator and Controller. 7. Calls insurance companies to follow up on unpaid scripts. 8. Flags unapplied cash by placing on unapplied cash log. 9. Prepare retros for processing. 10. Clear accounts through was out process. 11 Performs third party billing functions as assigned by supervisor. 12. General filing, as necessary. 13. Performs other duties, as assigned. 14. Maintains a neat and clean personal appearance. 15. Maintains the confidentiality of all employee and company information 16. Promotes company and policies in a positive manner. 17. Weekly create insurance invoices/credit notes that is pulled from CIPS program. 18. Monthly create PACE invoice/credit note for CIPS scripts. 19. Create & post all receipt batches for checks/ACH payments for Remedy, Sapphire and Innova. 20. Follow up with all short/over payments for Remedy, Sapphire and Innova. 21. Import all payments in Framework/Cips into the Sage program and balance to cash.Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of accredited high school Post secondary schooling in accounting (helpful)Experience/Knowledge:
- Excel spreadsheets
- Computer operational knowledge
- General account procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form
- Ability to work under stress to accomplish deadlines
- Typing and 10-Key skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to organize one's own work
- Reliability and honesty
