PMPosition Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Billing Coordinator to join our Oral Surgery office. This role will work directly under our Billing Manager and is crucial for ensuring the efficient processing of payments and insurance claims. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of dental insurance billing experience and a strong understanding of state and private insurance plans. Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Verification:

Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for dental procedures prior to treatment.

Claims Submission:

Prepare and submit accurate claims to state and private insurance companies, ensuring compliance with their policies and procedures.

Payment Processing:

Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding claims.

Account Management:

Maintain and update patient billing records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.

Patient Communication:

Communicate with patients regarding their insurance benefits, billing inquiries, and outstanding balances.

Collections:

Assist with collections of outstanding balances, including setting up payment plans and following up on overdue accounts.

Reporting:

Generate and analyze billing reports, track claim status, and identify areas for improvement in billing processes.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the clinical team to resolve billing issues and ensure accurate coding for procedures performed.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance issues in dental billing practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in dental insurance billing.



Proficient in working with state and private insurance plans.



Strong understanding of dental terminology, coding, and billing practices.



Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.



Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.



Proficient in billing software and MS Office Suite.
