This position will be based at our headquarters in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The Billing Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy of transportation billing by auditing bills of lading and verifying all entered data. What You'll Do:
Ensure accurate billing across multiple company locations Review and update billing information within the Transportation Management System according to established rate schedules Identify and resolve rating errors; communicate necessary corrections with appropriate departments Investigate and resolve daily routing discrepancies; provide updates to the technical team Assist in preparing and reviewing routing updates and coordinate system changes with the technical team Prepare weekly customer invoices for special billing requests Audit delivery paperwork to ensure completeness and compliance with company standards Gather, review, and analyze data effectively Perform accurate data entry and maintain detailed records Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and service requests
What We're Looking For:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred Strong communication skills, including phone and email correspondence Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, management, and customers Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and follow issues through to resolution Commitment to providing excellent internal and external customer service Previous transportation or logistics experience, preferably with TMW, is a plus Ability to quickly learn and navigate Transportation Management Systems (TMW) Prior accounting experience is a plus Venezia Transport provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
