OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join a growing construction-focused team in Pittsburgh. This role is ideal for someone with prior construction billing experience who is comfortable managing AIA billing and pay applications in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Billing Specialist will work closely with project managers and accounting teams to ensure accurate, timely billing and compliance with contract requirements.

BILLING SPECIALIST KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Billing Specialist will prepare, submit, and track AIA billings , pay applications, and lien waivers Coordinate with project managers and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing Review contracts, purchase orders, and change orders to ensure billing compliance The Billing Specialist will resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client billing inquiries Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation Support month-end close activities related to billing and accounts receivable The Billing Specialist will assist with collections and follow up on outstanding invoices as needed

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE BILLING SPECIALIST ROLE

2+ years of billing experience, preferably within the construction industry Hands-on experience with AIA billing and pay applications strongly preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
