Job Description

On Demand Billing is a growing Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) company specializing in behavioral health billing. We partner with Behavioral Health organizations to maximize reimbursement, improve cash flow, and navigate the ever-changing healthcare billing landscape. Our team values professionalism, accountability, problem-solving, and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of behavioral health clients while overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle. The ideal candidate enjoys building strong client relationships, solving complex billing issues, and taking ownership of accounts from start to finish. This is a hybrid position, with the expectation that the majority of work will be performed in our office. Limited remote work may be available based on business needs and employee performance. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts. Manage the full revenue cycle, including claim submission, payment posting, claim follow-up, denial management, and account reconciliation. Monitor aging accounts receivable and proactively resolve outstanding balances. Investigate claim denials and identify trends to improve reimbursement. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed. Communicate professionally with insurance companies, providers, and client staff. Review payer updates and implement billing changes to ensure compliance. Maintain accurate documentation and account notes. Attend client meetings and provide updates regarding billing performance. Assist clients with billing-related questions and recommend process improvements. Collaborate with internal team members to ensure timely and accurate account management. Stay current on payer policies, behavioral health regulations, and industry changes. Preferred Qualifications Experience in medical billing or Revenue Cycle Management. Behavioral health billing experience is highly preferred. Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance billing. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Procentive, Ritten, or similar platforms. Knowledge of insurance claim submission, denials, authorizations, and payment posting. Skills & Abilities Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Our ideal candidate is someone who: Takes ownership of their work and follows tasks through to completion.
