What You'll Do
As a Billing Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely client billing while serving as a trusted resource to attorneys and internal teams across the firm.
Key responsibilities include:
Review, edit, and process client invoices with a high level of accuracy and professionalism
Ensure billing narratives are clear, polished, and client-ready
Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
Partner closely with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and clients regarding billing matters
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
Generate reports, maintain billing data, and support accounting processes using firm software systems
Collaborate with accounting team members on special projects and process improvements
Deliver exceptional internal customer service with responsiveness and professionalism

What We're Looking For
3-5 years of accounting or billing experience
Experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience with Aderant or similar billing/accounting systems preferred
Strong attention to detail andanizational skills
Excellent written and verbalmunication abilities
Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
Strong data entry and analytical skills; 10-key data entry
Work Environment
This is a hybrid opportunity within the Accounting Department, with a rotating in-office schedule and occasional onsite collaboration for team projects and initiatives.
