Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Professional Coder (CPC) / Medical Billing Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team in a hybrid work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately coding medical records, managing billing processes, and ensuring seamless revenue cycle management. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency of insurance claim processing, medical collections, and overall financial health of the practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your coding skills and medical billing knowledge to improve patient care and optimize revenue flow. Duties Review and assign appropriate ICD-10, ICD-9, CPT, and DRG codes to medical records following current coding guidelines for inpatient and outpatient services Ensure accurate electronic health record (EHR) management for billing and coding purposes using advanced billing software and EMR/EHR systems Process health insurance claims efficiently, verifying coverage details and adhering to third-party billing protocols Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure compliance with medical coding standards Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid or denied claims, reducing outstanding balances Maintain detailed and organized medical records, ensuring all documentation aligns with coding requirements and legal standards Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations to ensure compliance Experience Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of
ICD-10, ICD-9, CPT
coding, and DRG classifications Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software platforms used for revenue cycle management Knowledge of health insurance claim processing procedures and third-party payer requirements Strong grasp of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding guidelines for inpatient and outpatient services Prior experience working with health insurance companies for claim submissions and appeals is highly desirable Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims efficiently Ability to adapt quickly to updates in coding standards and healthcare regulations Join us as a Certified Professional Coder / Medical Billing Specialist where your expertise fuels efficient healthcare delivery!
