Job Description
Complex Billing & Invoicing Specialist Are you an experienced billing or accounting professional who enjoys figuring things out, asking questions, and making sure all the pieces come together? We are looking for a detail-oriented billing & invoicing expert to help invoice complex sales. These aren't simple product invoices. A single customer order may include a custom-configured machine, options and accessories, service, installation, training, freight, financing, and other components involving multiple departments. You'll pull information together, identify what's missing or doesn't make sense, ask the right questions, and ensure the customer is billed completely and accurately. What You'll Do Invoice complex machine sales. Review sales documentation to confirm all equipment, services, tooling, training, freight, and other charges are accurately captured. Work closely with multiple departments to gather information and resolve discrepancies. Compare supporting documentation against ERP/accounting system information before invoicing. Identify missing or conflicting information and proactively ask questions to resolve the issue. Create and post monthly journal entries. Run and distribute monthly reports. What We're Looking For 2+ years of accounting and complex invoicing, billing, project accounting, or other related experience. Strong understanding of accounting and billing principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills — you don't simply process what's in front of you; you notice when something doesn't look right and investigate. Comfortable asking questions and following up across multiple departments. Strong communication and customer service skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to work independently while collaborating extensively with others. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. In-office during the training period, with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule of 1-2 days per week from home after approximately six months, once fully trained in the role.
