Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join a growing investment firm in Orange County as a Billing Supervisor, taking ownership of the end-to-end client billing process within a collaborative finance team. This is a newly impactful role with strong strategic scope, working closely with Finance, Legal and Investment teams to manage complex fee structures, improve billing accuracy and drive automation. This is a Hybrid role (3 days in office)
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and monitor the preparation of accurate and timely billing calculations and invoices based on relevant investment agreements, management contracts, and other relevant documents. Perform complex billing calculations and other tasks within the billing process. Review billing invoices and calculations prepared by an Analyst. Reconcile and analyze fee calculations against underlying investment billing reports, performance summaries, and cash flow details. Identify and resolve billing data discrepancies in a timely manner. Partner with Finance and internal AI tooling teams to identify and deploy solutions that reduce manual work and improve decision quality across the billing and collections lifecycle. Collaborate with various other departments to gather necessary billing information and address any billing-related queries. Address client inquiries related to billing and resolve issues in a timely manner, serving as the primary escalation point for complex or high-risk billing disputes. Own the billing process end-to-end, proactively identifying and implementing automation and systems improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce recurring discrepancies, and scale the billing function to support the firm's continued growth.
Skills / Qualifications required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related course of study. Several years of relevant experience in the billing function or other related positions within the finance and accounting field, preferably within an investment management firm. Ability to adapt, learn, design and implement new processes, concepts, skills, and technologies. Experience in the asset management industry is a strong preference. Clear and effective communication skills are necessary to address billing inquiries, resolve disputes, and provide explanations regarding billing processes. Please apply or contact Morgan.
